Unveiling the Truth: Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s Explosive Book Exposes Ouster Plot!

Former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will launch a book today, presenting his perspective on the events leading to his dramatic removal from office in July of last year. The book, titled “The Conspiracy to Oust Me from the Presidency,” will be available in both Sinhala and English at bookstores starting today, as announced by the former President’s office in a news release issued yesterday.

“Foreign intervention has had a significant impact on Sri Lanka since our victory over the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam in 2009. From the moment I assumed the presidency in November 2019, certain foreign and local entities were determined to remove me from power,” Rajapaksa stated in the news release.

He further elaborated that his entire two-and-a-half-year term in office was dedicated to combating the Covid-19 pandemic. Rajapaksa claimed that the forces behind the conspiracy initiated their political campaign to oust him from the Presidency towards the end of March 2022, following the containment of the pandemic, the completion of the vaccination campaign, and the onset of economic recovery.

“Presently, foreign intervention and the manipulation of internal politics have become commonplace in Sri Lanka, unlike anything experienced in the first 60 years of our independence. The political maneuvering aimed at ousting me introduced a new dimension to Sri Lankan politics, which, since independence, had witnessed only peaceful transitions of power following elections,” he remarked.

Rajapaksa emphasized that the events of 2022 carry significant implications for the country’s future. His book seeks to elucidate his firsthand experience of what he perceives as an internationally sponsored regime change operation.
